Developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, MBSR is about taking control of our lives, being aware of influences that affect our well-being and health, and finding peace-of-mind and balance in an oftentimes chaotic world. Learn to cope more effectively, increase your ability to relax, decrease physical and psychological symptoms, and reduce pain.
Program includes: guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices, group discussions, gentle stretching and yoga, daily "homework,” CD, and a workbook.
Dates: Tuesdays, 2/2 to 3/22 (8 weeks), 7-9:30 pm, plus Saturday afternoon Retreat March 12th, 12-6 p.m.
